Signs and Symptoms of Wrinkles

wrinkles
Wrinkles are minor lines and creases in the skin that begin to occur as we age. Most wrinkles appear on the face, neck, back of the hands, and top of the forearms, since these are the parts of the body where exposure to the sun is the greatest.

There are two major types of wrinkles: fine surface lines and deep furrows. The fine wrinkles are easier to treat with home remedies, while the deeper creases typically require other more invasive techniques such as plastic surgery or injections.

Causes of Wrinkles

Wrinkles are commonly a sign of aging, since skin begins to lose its elasticity and resiliency with time. While we will all experience some wrinkles eventually, there are certain activities that should be avoided to prevent wrinkles from appearing prematurely. Common causes of early wrinkles are:
  • Smoking: this decrease oxygen and blood circulation to the skin, resulting in premature wrinkles.
  • Alcohol: excessive drinking causes the face to puff up, which temporarily stretches the skin. The subsequent shrinking can lead to wrinkles.
  • Sun exposure: excessive exposure to the midday sun can increase the rate at which wrinkles appear.
  • Tanning booths: similar to sun exposure, the rays in a tanning booth can lead to premature wrinkling.
  • Constant facial expression changes: excessive smiling or frowning causes the facial skin to stretch, leading to wrinkles.
  • Squinting: frequent squinting on sunny days can lead to wrinkles around the eyes. Sunglasses can help reduce this.

Home Remedies and Natural Cures for Wrinkles Treatment

Home Remedy for Wrinkles Using Egg Whites

Egg whites are a fantastic temporary remedy to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, since the proteins in egg whites help to tighten the skin. Therefore, before heading out to a big event or party, do the following:
  • Beat 2 egg whites together (avoid the yolks).
  • Apply the egg white mixture over your whole face.
  • Leave on for 30 minutes.
  • Wash off your face with cool water.
  • Pat your face dry, and you're ready!
Remember that this will only last for about an hour or two.

Vitamins for Reducing Wrinkles

B-Complex Vitamins, which are commonly found in beef, chicken, eggs, and whole wheat, are great for maintaining healthy skin. Additionally, antioxidants such as Vitamins A, C, and E, (which can be found in many green leafy vegetables, carrots, and fruit) help to promote younger looking skin. Therefore, maintaining a healthy diet of foods or supplements rich in these vitamins can help prevent the premature onset of wrinkles.

Pomegranate Remedy for Wrinkles

Pomegranate is an excellent anti-oxidant that is high in many vitamins that can benefit wrinkles. Therefore, by simply drinking a glass of pomegranate juice each day you can help reduce wrinkles and make your skin look younger. You can also mix a small amount of pomegranate oil extract into your daily moisturizer cream for added benefits.

Avoid Wrinkles Using Cool and Mild Washing

Research has shown that excessive washing and scrubbing of the face, particularly with hot water and harsh soaps, can dissolve the essential oils that help to nourish the skin. Therefore, a better alternative to prevent wrinkles is to wash with cool or lukewarm water, and use a mild soap such as Neutrogena.

Hi Ray... I read that Evening primrose:2 tbs per day or 1500-2400 milligram in capsule per day, ginkgo:60 miligrams of ginkgo product standardized to 24 percent flavoine glycosides, to or three times per day, grapeseed extract: enough extract to provide 50-200 milligrams of procyanidins per day....herbal alternatives to the drugs used for parkinsons, From Herbal Drugstore.. Common in regional Italian cooking, fresh fava beans(or broad beans)are a dietary source of levodopa, which converts to dopamine-exactly what needs to be restored to brain tissue to facilitate normal muscle action. Consult doctor. Eating at least one serving per week of cold water fish such as salmon is also recommended. Fish contains fish oil, which provides essential fatty acids to the body. Finally, tank up on your antioxidants, which can play a significate role in delaying the progress of Parkinson's. A few to consider. Alpha lipoic acid - 50-200 milligrams per day Huperzine A -Typical dosage 25-50 micrograms two to four times daily (Caution: if having surgery, be sure to tell doctor and anesthesiologist that you are taking this compound) Velvet Bean Extract -Typical dosage 500 milligrams tow or three times per day. Look for product that have a 10 percent L-dopa content. Vitamin E and selenium Typical dosage - 800 milligrams of Vitamin E per day; 200-400 milligrams of selenium per day Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids - Typical dosage 1000 - 3000 milligrams per day Folic Acid - 400-800 micrograms per day Sam-e(S-adenosylmethionine- 200-1200 milligrams day Ray I read the comment you left and checked my book and this was what I got. Love and blessings your way J

I have had Parkinson going on now for 8 years. I do not qualify for Deep Brain Stimulation, because I do not have trimers. What I do have, is what is called freezing. When my meds are effective I Can walk but with violent dyskinesias. When it wares off I fall, and I have no warning when that happens. I'm at my limit as far as the med. goes. other than that, Im in good health for being 66 year old. I just wanted to know if you or any one out their know of any home remedies. Thank You: Roy Johnson.

I bought my mum fennugreek tablets as I wanted to help her with her menopausal symptoms of hot flushes. I can honestly say my mum has thanked me so much fo it. Her skin is glowing, rarely gets hot flushes and she has more energy too, amazing! It says that you cn enlarge your bresta with it but thats the only thing that dissapointed her, although she did say they feel more supple and firmer eheheh!. Overall I have done quite a bit of research on it and I think its a very good herb. Also my mum is 52 but everyone thinks she is 35!!! because her skin is so good. Her trick: eating a balanced diet, yoga and investing in a good skincare regime(mainly natural organic products).

To Arti: eat organic seaweed for thyroid issues. It is full of essential nutrients including idodine. Many Thyroid issues are rooted in not having enough iodine. Commercial bread contains a substance that blocks thyroid production; Ezekiel Bread is excellent bread that is gluten free, and bromine free. www.vitaminsandsuch.net/storefront/prodView.asp?... If your doctor suggests you need iodine for the thyroid, try adding the foods to your diet that contain it. Your hair, skin and mood will all improve. The Lord is good and put many remedies in our foods! Eat fresh and stay balanced :-) This will help you detoxify as well, which will be a big help. Don't worry-it doesn't help! Matthew 6:33 says not to be anxious! God will help you if you ask him. He says "You do not have because you do not ask..." James 4:3-4. Keep asking and knocking if you have already asked His help. Read Acts 10:38. This is who God is. Get well soon!

I agree with mr. ali too much, that I am using Apple Cider Vinegar regularly since I studied the benifits of it, that was over 15 years ago, since it was in my kitchen as salt and sugar, I would comment to choice the organic apple cider vinegar, very helpful for stomach specially for women after giving birth, use it you will find much benifit than we can mention her. also for out side using for oily hair or to give a fresh look skin, I am 44 years old now, but I am broud to say that I am looking 15 years younger. thanks for the nature my God offer to us for free. There are many other natural cheap products available for every one such as fenugreek honey etc...... try to use them and you will be as thankfull as I am. thank you

Regular practice of deep breathing( abdominal breath/ alternate nostril breathing see under yoga ) as well as 30 minuted deep relaxation morning evening will not only make you feel better but you will look better with a glowing face and with lesser wrinkles. Yoga = science and path to longevity and health.

you can mix 3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar into a mug full of water (hot or cold), and drink this twice daily for a month. This will not only improve your age spots, but it will also give you a healthy young glow and make you feel energized and active. If you find the taste of the vineger to be too strong, try adding a tablespoon of honey as a natural sweetener. This is direct wording taken from this site you are on now. It was found under help for Age Spots. Thank You
